Since Marsh and I’s full time jobs aren’t all that exciting, we like to pack our weekends with either travel or exploring Houston. Don’t get me wrong, we do love our lazy Saturdays at home and relish our Friends marathons with ice cream and wine, but we’re (mostly me) generally a lot more pleasant people when we’re out and about. We’ve had a slow couple of weekends after Canada, so I’ve been trying to throw together plans on Friday afternoon, hoping someone will be as stir crazy as I am to get out of the house. Marsh had a bachelor party last weekend, so my sweet sissy came in town from College Station and we went to the Houston Zoo.
We watched this baby elephant romp around forever. He was as playful as a puppy! (But a lot more destructive…)
This bird was hilarious — It was having a standoff with its own shadow, so maintained this position for about ten minutes before walking away.
This weekend, we went down to Marshall’s family’s bay house at Smith Point. The house overlooks the bay and at night, you can see Galveston on the other side.
The sunsets at the bay are SO dreamy.
