Lately, Houston has impressed me.
Only my close family and friends will understand the inner turmoil I went through to admit that first sentence. Don’t get me wrong — I love my city. I love it’s diversity and food and Astros games and neighborhoods. But when you’re like me and you irrationally complain to your people about moving away because Houston has no mountains, it’s tough to admit that the city can actually be charming and wonderful in its own way.
Fingers crossed that we’ll have more lazy weekends in Houston this Spring.
